Taking a tour of Alcatraz is one of the few touristy activities in San Francisco I recommend doing. I took my uncle while he came to visit recently. They also feature a nighttime tour I'm eager to take someday. Who's in?!
I have been working on a book with some friends (David Le Merrer, Jackson Sze, Kilian Plunkett, Thang Le, and Wayne Lo) and it will be coming out really soon: Battlemilk Volume 2. The website became live today. The book will be available online, in stores, and at this year's San Diego Comic Con (where we will be signing copies at the Design Studio Press booth). Oh, Comic Con it's been awhile since we've seen each other, let's try to be friends shall we?
Work has been extra, how you say, nuts lately, but I took some time to enjoy the city during a beautiful weekend. Great company, beautiful sunshine, delicious eats, and some sketching made for an amazing day.
I caught a glimpse of this guy while I was enjoying a delicious Kalbi & Kim-chi sandwich at King Foot Submarine in the Lower Haight. Man I want another right about now!
Ink has always been a difficult medium for me. So I started using it more and more lately in order to become more proficient with it, and these Japanese brushes I've been playing with are a-freakin-'mazing!
Memory sketch of a girl at Borders tonight. By the way unless you're a Jonas Brothers or Twilight fan, Borders probably doesn't have the calendar for you.
